Q~ I have been trying to find a new cleanser that is natural but still smells great. It seems all the ones I have been trying lately have tons of artificial fragrances or scents I’m not that fond of. What do you recommend?
A~ Lately I am becoming a huge fan of the Rhonda Allison product line, there are so many great products that smell so delicious. I have recently fallen in love with the Pumpkin cleanser, it smell just like pumpkin pie and it will invigorate your senses. Not only is this cleanser natural, it is perfect for sensitive skin too. Did you know that pumpkin has a high content of vitamin A and beta carotene, which provide excellent nutrition and anti-aging to your skin. This cleanser is recommended for Dry to Normal, Combination & Dehydrated skin
In addition to this great cleanser, a few other natural ideas you could try are coconut oil as well as honey. From time to time I go through a phase and want to switch up my regime and use honey as a face wash. I lightly dampen my face and add pure organic honey in a circular motion, I leave on for 5 or so minutes then wipe off with warm water and a face cloth. I love the way my skin feels and smells after.
For those of you that wear makeup you can first start by applying coconut oil to your face, then following up with the honey.
These two natural beauties have been used for centuries and will leave your skin glowing!
Q~ Every morning when I wake up my under eye area is puffy and I look exhausted. Do you have any recommendations on a eye cream, or any other suggestions to help?
A~ I would recommend an eye cream that has a cooling effect to take down the puffiness. Rhonda Allison actually has a good one, “Eye Revitalizer”, which is enhanced with a “freezing peptide”. The minute you apply it under your eyes you will start to feel a cooling sensation. This eye cream is iridescent in color and provides light reflecting properties making your eyes look instantly brightened, which is perfect for daytime and under your make up. Though this eye cream says it’s for daytime use, I used it after a long day to soothe my tired eyes as well. I love how moisturizing it is and that it doesn’t have a greasy feel, which works wonders when applying under make up. For all of you that are citrus fans, you’ll love this one~ it contains Bergamot and Grapefruit Peel Oil. Oh and one last thing, the bottle has a twist, pop-up pump top, making it perfect for traveling.
In addition to this eye cream, a great at home remedy for puffy eyes is to take a whole cucumber and slice into thick round sections and place them into the freezer for say 20 minutes or so. Then take them out and lay then over your puffy eyes for 10-15 minutes and relax( Or you can leave on until the slices become warm).
Q~ I am looking for a more natural scrub, one that doesn’t have a lot of fragrance that works well at gently exfoliating?
A~ I have recently found an amazing scrub that isn’t too abrasive, Jadience “Jade & Ginseng Sugar Scrub”. It has a earthy scent with a hint of orange. I applied it dry to my skin and massaged it in a circular motion. I left it on for a few minutes and then soaked in the bath. What I loved most about this scrub was it’s chalked full of detoxifying properties, my skin was left nourished and moisturized. Honestly my skin was baby soft. I am very impressed with this natural scrub and think it’s a “Must Have”.This scrub is also alcohol-free and contains no mineral oil, phthalates or color & dye. The perfect way to add a little Zen back into your life!
